Whitby Doctors was established in 2000 in its present site in Whitby Mall. On 01 July 2014 the Practice expanded to include Dr Larry Jordan and his team of nurses and receptionists. To accommodate the additional staff and patients, the reception desk and waiting area were significantly altered to create a lovely new space with a welcoming atmosphere.
The Practice Manager is Miranda Wassenaar. Miranda can be contacted at the Practice Tues, Weds, Thurs and Fridays.
Whitby Doctors is a Cornerstone Accredited Practice. Cornerstone is an accreditation of quality achieved through the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners “Aiming for Excellence” programme.
We are close to other health related services in the Whitby area – physiotherapist, pharmacy and dentist.
Disabled parking and access is available at the front of the mall entrance.
Commencing on 21st February 2017, we are required to update our patient records and validate all NHI (National Health Index) numbers, under the new National Enrolment Service, which is part of a Ministry of Health initiative. We will require to confirm all patient details, including sighting some form of identification (including our existing patients). We kindly request, your patience and understanding during this process.
Dr. Fipi Hastie is currently the only GP accepting new patients. Please talk to us if you have a particular need to register with a different GP.
